LakeShore Summer Camp -2024

Curriculum: Academic, Social, and Vocational Skills Reinforcement.
Participants: Highschool aged students with a focus on academic and/or job readiness
Date/Time:  June 17 – July 19 (Monday – Thursday),
9am-2pm
Location: Westlake High School

Camp Description

At this time LakeShore will only provide services to our junior high and high school aged students.  We hope to offer a full spectrum of services in the future, but in the meantime our focus is to provide a quality program for students who will benefit from vocational training. 

Junior High – High School Camp

This program is designed for students 13 years or older who would benefit from academic, social, and vocational reinforcement over summer break.  This program is designed with a focus on academic reinforcement and introduce vocational training opportunities.

Vocational Training Camp

This program is meant for students 17 years or older who are on a path towards employment.  Participants in this program will focus on experiencing and developing a variety of vocational skills, understanding work place responsibilities, learning social skills at work while reinforcing academics in the classroom. 

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE ABLE TO:

-Independently complete all self-help needs (eating, toileting, etc.)
-Wash hands / sanitize regularly

Aides/Support Staff:

Please keep in mind that if a student requires an aide throughout the school year, whether it is listed on their IEP or not, it is a good idea for them to have an aide during the summer.  LakeShore can provide a 1:1 aide for an additional cost.

Registration will close on Monday, May 20th.  A confirmation email will be sent by May 31st.  Space will be limited so please be sure to register.  

Registration Process

All Registration and Information Material will be submitted Online.

• Click on the green “Register Online” button in the right hand column
• Complete all required fields
• You will receive an automated response when your submission is successful.
• Your information will not be sold to or shared with any third party.
• If you cannot complete the Registration Online, please call or send us an email requesting a hard copy.

Confirmation Email

After successfully completing the online registration, you will receive a confirmation email with the following information.

• Summer Calendar
• Intake Form:
  • Complete with signature and return to LakeShore via email or send in the first day of camp.
  • We will not be able to accept your child at camp without this signed Intake Form.
• Frequently Asked Questions
• Please respond to with any questions you may have regarding the summer.

Extended School Year Services

If your child will receive ESY services, your school district must submit the ESY Services Form and 4th quarter IEP Progress Report with highlighted goals by May 20th.

• Please have the conversation with your school district EARLY regarding ESY.
• Your school district should have received this ESY Services Form, however if you would like to take it with your to your ESY meeting, it is available for download above or in the box to the right
• The 4th quarter IEP Progress Report and highlighted goals ensures that our teachers have the necessary information on each camper prior to the start of camp and can implement proper instruction on the first day.
